CEPI, a foundation that collaborates with public, private, philanthropic, and civil society organizations, is dedicated to supporting research projects focused on developing vaccines against emerging infectious diseases. Their primary mission is to ensure “equitable access” during pandemics, making vaccines available at affordable prices to developing nations. This commitment stems from the urgent need to prevent a recurrence of the challenges faced during the 2013–2016 Ebola epidemic when access to vaccines was limited.
